The discussion centered around the social expectation of men and woman Japan and India. After a two month break due to exams schedules of both the India and Japan schools the weekly Your Turn Meetings are back. The role of women in public life and in the social context has changed in the last few decades. From the role of a bread maker it has changed to bread winner in many cases. Business and cultural environments have exerted a great influence on these roles.

Dr. Somyadipta Satpathy delivered an alumni talk with SAIoneers on April 30, 2021. He spoke in a very grounded and with soft spoken mannerisms to students in detail about his journey so far. From the start he mentioned that he was much more comfortable with numbers and knew that he would definitely opt for Engineering. Yet within a short time, when he got the option of studying biology, he made up his mind for opting for medical too. He was one of those very few lucky ones who had cleared both Engineering and Medical with top grades.
