Mr. Lind from England, UK is a Senior International Education Advisor, Consultant and Trainer with Cambridge Learning for Schools, a division of Cambridge University Press. Mr. Lind has been involved in the education business for nearly 40 years and while he continues to learn and put learning at the heart of everything he does, he now, with Cambridge University Press and Assessment, derives great satisfaction from sharing his learning and experience with teachers and schools around the world.

SAI International Residential School conducted a virtual Service in Action Symposium on May 6 2021. The event had 46 schools joining us from 11 countries. Community Service is well integrated into the Round Square ethos. We had a detailed discussion on Volunteering by keynote speaker Shri Sujit Mohapatra, Founder Bakul Foundation, India joining us on the forum. He spoke on the normal perspectives of what community service looked like in the past, forcing students to think of new and creative acts of service that can be done via the virtual mode. Students usually choose to work in an area that is in close proximity to where you live thus benefiting the local community. It provides no monetary gain, people volunteer their time and resources without selfish motives. It is an opportunity to give back to society and garner a sense of being one with the community while championing a cause.
