On 7 July 2025, the AVR Hall of SAI International Residential School came alive with passion, purpose, and powerful expression as it hosted the much-anticipated Inter-House Hindi Elocution Competition. The event brought together eloquent speakers from Classes IV to XII, representing the four vibrant houses: Chakra, Dhwaja, Vajra, and Srivatsa.
Designed to strengthen students’ oratory skills and encourage them to articulate thoughts on current and meaningful issues, the competition showcased a wide range of relevant and thought-provoking themes. Each participant took the stage with poise and clarity, delivering persuasive and heartfelt speeches that reflected both depth of thought and command over the Hindi language.
Students of Classes IV to VI expressed their thoughts on the topics: "मेरा सपना - एक हरित भारत" and "ऑनलाइन पढ़ाई - फायदे और नुक़सान", presenting simple yet impactful ideas. Classes VII to IX spoke on "डिजिटल युग में बच्चों की ज़िम्मेदारी" and "फिट इंडिया - स्वस्थ युवा स्वस्थ भारत", combining awareness with a strong call to action. For Classes X to XII, the topics were "कृत्रिम बुद्धिमता (AI) - बच्चों के लिए वरदान या चुनौती?" and "अभिव्यक्ति की स्वंत्रता और सामाजिक जिम्मेदारी", prompting reflective opinions on technology, freedom, and responsibility in the modern world.
The event was judged by Mr. Susheel Yadav and Ms. Veena Pradhan from SAI International School, Bhubaneswar. Their evaluation focused on content, clarity, and confidence, and their concluding address was both encouraging and insightful. They praised the students for their maturity of thought and commended the school for providing such a platform that values the power of language and expression.
More than a competition, the elocution was a celebration of the Hindi language and its ability to carry bold ideas and thoughtful dialogue. It gave students the space to voice their views, listen to diverse perspectives, and build the courage to speak with conviction. Events like these reflect SIRS’s commitment to nurturing socially aware, articulate, and confident individuals who can lead with both intellect and empathy.
