Fun, frolic and food yes it was the UNWIND 2019, the most sought after and the most loved event of the year. UNWIND 2019 was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri R.Balakrishnan, IAS, Chief Advisor, Chief Minister’s Office, Government of Odisha and Guest of Honour, Ms.Chithra Arumugam, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Department of School and Mass Education, Government of Odisha, in presence of Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder, SAI International Education Group and Advisor, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan, Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Vice Chairperson, SAI International Education Group and Shri Nilakantha Panigrahi, Senior Principal, SAI International School on November 17, 2019 at SAI International School
Shri Balakrishnan briefed the assemblage on the difference between normal education and value-based education and said that events of such kind prepare students for the real world. He advised the students to walk the extra mile to achieve excellence in life.
Ms. Arumugam advised the students to have the courage to be true to their own self and stay connected with their inner self. Speaking about UNWIND, she said that ‘Learn’ stands for constructing knowledge to communicate, ‘Lead’ indicates to go and shine wherever one is and ‘Serve’ means giving back to the world, which is the best part of a person.
Dr. Sahoo outlined the objective of UNWIND and shared that it gives the students an opportunity to learn through an event, which would instill in them the essential qualities of a leader helping them beyond their school years.
It’s a mega event completely handled by the students and for the students of SAI International Education Group. Students of SIRS participated in various events of the day. They visited and enjoyed each stall. There were colorful arcades, bouncy castles, brilliant song and dance performances, the aroma of fresh food, mind-boggling games, the resounding laughter; UNWIND 2019 was surely the best place to be in Bhubaneswar. From exotic Arabic, Mexican, Chinese, Italian and Continental cuisines to the traditional Indian, UNWIND had it all. What is a fest, without games conducted by the students from all the different classes. there were more than 100 game stalls such as 7 Up 7 Down, Fishing the Bottle, Zorbing, Dart, Spin the Wheel, Wall Climbing, Zip Line Footsal, Foosball, Wipe Out and what not; the lively faces marked UNWIND 2019 at SAI International School.
As part of the Social Connect activity, students of Swami Bichitrananda Kalyan Ashram, Cuttack, considered as the oldest Orphanage of Independent India, visited the event along with their teachers. The students had a wonderful time playing the various games. They gave a brilliant dance performance which was loved by the assemblage.
The event came to an end with an enthralling performance by Ms. Lisa Mishra, a young dynamic singer. She won everyone’s heart with her heart touching songs.
The SAI Family including parents and teachers had a wonderful time at UNWIND 2019. Every year SAI International School organizes the mega fest to foster unity and brotherhood, develop compassion, infuse traits of a future leader in the students and enjoy to one’s heart’s content. More than 25,000 people including students and parents attended the mega event.
