“Philanthropy is not about the money. It’s about using whatever resources you have at your fingertips and applying them to improving the world.” – Melinda Gates
“When you have more than what you need, build a longer table and not a higher fence,” was the wonderful ‘thought for the day’, put across to the students during the Morning Assembly held on Friday, November 16, 2018.
The assembly conducted by the teachers was both educative and inspirational. A motivational video was shown which gave out the message that there is inner satisfaction in helping and showing love to fellow men and women than the pleasures that one gets from wealth and power. The ultimate goal in life should be love and service of human beings irrespective of how rich or poor we are.
Since inception, SIRS has always motivated its students to inculcate qualities of kindness, benevolence, humility etc. Through various platforms students are provided with opportunities to increase their understanding on philanthropy and practice them in real life.
