SAI International Residential School witnessed the presence of Shri Anil Swarup, IAS, Secretary, School Education and Literacy, MHRD, GOI, who spared his valuable time to interact with the students of SIRS and share his profound words of guidance and motivation.
He was highly impressed by the mission, vision, the quality of education and the 360 degree personality development for the students, the school imbibes. He said there should be more such residential schools for a holistic learning experience for children.
Addressing the students Shri Anil Swarup said,” education is the basis for development of human resource. No technology can replace a human brain.” There was also an interactive session between Shri Swarup and the students of SIRS. Answering to a question raised by a student on the impact of education on society, he said, “Education is the foundation of society, if children are not educated appropriately then ultimately the society will suffer. “ Questions were also raised upon the impact a residential school upon children. Answering to this, he said that he too was a student of a boarding school which has helped him in shaping up his personality greatly. Children learn discipline which is the fundamental principle of growth; children get to learn a lot from the residential schools.
The student of SIRS also hosted an impressive cultural program for welcoming the guest of honor. Shri Swarup gave a very strong message to the students, to never give up and keep moving amidst any obstacle that comes their way. This message holds a lot of importance in today’s world because children give up too quickly to any adverse or difficult situations in front of them. The session was completely inspiring and motivating for the students.
