SAI International Residential School proudly participated in the Sahodaya Schools Complex Bhubaneswar Chapter Inter School Odia Elocution and Essay Competition 2025–26, held on 1st August 2025 at Buxi Jagabandhu English Medium School, Bhubaneswar. The event brought together young minds from various schools to celebrate the richness of the Odia language and explore powerful ideas rooted in society, culture, and values.
In the Senior Category, Sushree Aradhana Samal of Class XI captivated the audience with her eloquent speech on the theme *“ସାଂସ୍କୃତିକ ସମାଜରେ ନାରୀ ସୂରକ୍ଷା” (Women’s Safety in a Cultural Society), thoughtfully reflecting on the role of safety and respect for women in today’s world. Priyadarshini Bera, also from Class XI, impressed the judges with her deeply insightful essay on *“ମାନବତାର ଅବନତି – ମାନବିକ ମୂଲ୍ୟବୋଧର ହ୍ରାସ” (The Decline of Humanity – Erosion of Human Values), showcasing maturity in thought and clarity in expression.
In the Junior Category, Sai Sagar Das of Class VII took the stage with confidence during the elocution event, speaking passionately on *“ପାରିବାରିକ ସଂଘଟନ ଓ ଘଟମାନର ଭୂମିକା” (The Role of Family Structure and Members), highlighting the importance of family values and harmony. Meanwhile, Trupti Priyadarshini of Class VIII showcased her reflective thinking through her essay on *“ଶିଶୁମନସ ପରିଚଳନର ବୈଜ୍ଞାନିକ ଓ ଭାବିଷ୍ୟତ” (Scientific and Future Aspects of Child Psychology), blending imagination with reason in a beautifully crafted piece.
The students were guided and supported by their escorting teacher, who played a vital role in their preparation and participation. The competition served as more than just a contest, it was a celebration of language, identity, and self-expression. Events like these not only strengthen linguistic skills but also inspire students to explore critical social and emotional themes with depth and empathy.
