SAIoneers at the 80th Table Tennis Championship 2018

Final Matches (Men and Women) of the 80th Table Tennis Championship 2018 was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Cuttack on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 and the students of SAI International Residential School got the privilege to witness it all. In the concluding ceremony of the championship, His Excellency Prof Ganeshi Lal, Governor of Odisha, addressed the assemblage. He impressed upon the people to get more medals for the Country in Olympics as India is one of the leading nations in terms of sports today.

The young students were all excited to watch some of India’s top paddlers and Commonwealth Champions like Sharath Kamal and Manika Batra in action.

SIRS has always encouraged the students to develop an affinity for sports by providing them with various world class sporting facilities like an excellent sports stadium which engulf in itself two basketball courts, a football ground, 8 lanes for track and field events, skating track, long jump and a high jump courts and many others, with expert coaches and mentors in each game. SIRS provides opportunities to the students to witness National and International games played in the City.
