After the huge success of Global Immersion Programme to Singapore in 2018, SAI International Residential School launched its second Global Immersion Programme on Saturday, March 2, 2019, with adding two more countries to the list; United Kingdom and Italy. It’s the time for the next round of SAIoneers to go on a global quest. This year students have the option to visit three different countries to get a unique exposure on the teaching mechanism and style of contemporary educational institutions, build a global networking of friends and bring in a significant impact in their knowledge repository.
GIP to United Kingdom (For students from Classes VIII to X, 12-15 seats). The School has tie-ups with several schools in UK like Chosen Hill School – Gloucester, Norton Hill School – Bath and Welton Primary School – Bath. This trip has home stay facilities, where students stay in the houses of UK families. During this trip students will visit places of historical interest in London, Bath, Gloucester and Oxford.
The Second GIP to Singapore(For students from Classes VIII to X, has unlimited seats). It was initiated last year in 2018 and children loved every moment of it. It is also the shortest of all the trips with only 7 days including travel time. During their stay in Singapore, students attend an Entrepreneur Bootcamp at NTU and visit places of interest in the world’s first ‘Smart City’.
The first SIRS GIP to Italy (For Students of Classes IX and X only) will be held in the month of November. It is our first trip to this historically and culturally rich country. This 10-day trip will include participating in a 3-day Design for Change Global Conference with Pope Francis at the Vatican City. The Conference will be attended by 4000 children from various parts of the world. SAI students will get an opportunity to present their Design for Change project to a global audience. Apart from the DFC Conference students will have an opportunity to visit various historical places like the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Roman Colosseum. They will visit Rome, Vatican City and Venice.
A valid passport is a must to participate in any GIPs. The cost of the programmes varies depending on the country visited. For further details contact the SIRS office.
