On October 5th, 2024, SAI International Residential School (SIRS) held a special combined assembly as part of the Founder's Memorial Series (FMS) and Happiness Month, celebrating World Teachers’ Day. The assembly honored the invaluable contributions of teachers worldwide, in line with the global celebration initiated by UNESCO. The event commenced with an inspiring prayer by Rabindranath Tagore, followed by the "Word of the Day," which was “Erudition,” and a thought-provoking message on the importance of education. Students showcased their appreciation through captivating performances, including a dance and a drama that highlighted the significant role teachers play in shaping young minds and futures. This heartwarming tribute reminded the school community of the profound impact teachers have as mentors and guides, fostering growth and igniting possibilities in every student. The day concluded with reflections on the importance of education and the challenges faced by teachers globally.
