SIRS Junior Boys Crowned Champions in SAI Football League 2025

The SAI International Residential School (SIRS) junior boys football team achieved a momentous victory in the School Football League (SFL) 2025, reclaiming the championship title in a thrilling final match against Class X of SAI International School (SIS) on 18th July.

The league, which commenced on 5th July, witnessed spirited matches filled with fierce competition and extraordinary performances. The journey of Team SIRS to the finals was marked by consistent determination and strategic play. With two dominant wins and one draw in the league stage, the team earned a well-deserved spot in the final. The championship match showcased the team’s prowess, with two early goals in the first half and a resolute defence in the second half securing their victory. The match was a reflection of the players’ discipline and the tactical excellence instilled by their coach, Mr. S.K. Imran.

Several players earned special recognitions for their outstanding individual performances throughout the tournament:

Soumya Ranjan Mohanty was named Man of the Match in the finals.
Archit Bhargava received the award for Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
Sekh Zeeshan Mustafa was recognised as Best Defender of the Tournament.
Manas Ranjan Majhi stood out as Best Midfielder and Top Scorer of the Tournament.

This well-earned victory marks a powerful comeback for SIRS in the league and reflects the school’s commitment to nurturing talent, building character, and fostering team spirit.
