On 24 May 2025, SAI International Residential School (SIRS) proudly participated in the Round Square Day Global Challenge 2025, a global initiative aimed at fostering service, leadership, and collaboration among youth across the world. Coinciding with the Senior School Parent-Teacher Meeting, the event drew the enthusiastic participation of students, faculty, and parents, creating a vibrant and united atmosphere of purpose and celebration.
With Round Square’s global target of 24,901 miles, SIRS committed to contributing 100 miles (161 km) through a series of physical activities including cross-country running, cycling, treadmill workouts, e-cycling, swimming, and horse riding. Under the dynamic guidance of the Sports Department, SAIoneers not only embraced the challenge with zeal but surpassed the goal by completing 120 miles, demonstrating exceptional resilience, teamwork, and dedication.
To complement the mission of service, a student-led charity fundraising initiative was held on the MSB Ground Floor, featuring three engaging stalls:
. Book Sale at nominal/discounted prices
. Art Exhibition-cum-Sale of Artifacts
. Fruit Salad & Lemonade Stall
These stalls became a hub of meaningful interaction and heartfelt contribution, with voluntary donations pouring in from students, parents, teachers, and staff. The initiative not only raised funds for a worthy cause but also served as a platform for students to experience leadership, collaboration, and responsibility, key pillars of the Round Square IDEALS.
The day stood as a powerful example of what can be achieved when young minds unite with a shared vision - to serve, to lead, and to make a difference. The Round Square Day celebration at SIRS was more than just an event; it was a movement of compassion, commitment, and global citizenship.
