SAI International Residential School (SIRS) inaugurated the Sahodaya Football Tournament 2025 on November 19, 2025, with immense enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a thrilling inter-school sporting event. The opening ceremony set an inspiring tone, with the Associate Director & Headmaster gracing the occasion as the Chief Guest. A proud march-past by all 14 participating teams added grandeur to the ceremony, showcasing unity, competitive spirit, and school pride.
The first day of the tournament witnessed a series of exciting matches filled with determination, teamwork, and outstanding sportsmanship. KIIT International School delivered a strong performance, securing a 4–0 victory over Krishnamurthy World School, while St. Xavier’s, Khandagiri, clinched a close 3–2 win against Bhubaneswar Public School. HI-Tech Public School won by walkover against DAV Unit-8, and the host school, SIRS, showcased commendable skill and coordination to secure a 1–0 win against DAV Pokhariput.
Adding to the competitive momentum, SAI International School dominated their match with an impressive 6–0 victory over KT Global School, while BJEM-1 claimed a 3–0 win against ODM Public School. The final match of the day saw DPS Dhenkanal edge past Future Bhubaneswar School with a narrow 1–0 victory.
The opening day concluded with high energy, excitement, and strong displays of sporting excellence. As SIRS continues to host the prestigious tournament, the campus is buzzing with talent, discipline, and the spirit of healthy competition.
