On 11 July 2025, students from SAI International Residential School visited the Regional Science Centre, Bhubaneswar, for an enriching and educational experience focused on World Population Day. The event offered a blend of learning and engagement through an insightful session and an interactive quiz competition.
The highlight of the day was an inspiring talk by Squadron Leader Prof. Ashish Kumar Mohanty, Secretary of the Odisha Vigyan Academy and an NCC Officer. He addressed the critical theme of World Population Day by discussing the major causes of population growth, the urgent need for awareness, and India's evolving response to the issue. He also spoke about key government initiatives designed to manage population-related challenges and promote public consciousness.
Following the session, students participated in a dynamic quiz competition that tested their knowledge on population issues and general science. The event was particularly memorable as two SIRS students secured top positions, making it a proud moment for the school.
