The 2025, the highly anticipated journey to the Round Square International Conference (RSIC) 2025 – “Beyond the Dunes” – kicked off with the SAI International delegation setting off at dawn, bursting with energy, enthusiasm, and anticipation. By noon, the team had arrived in Abu Dhabi, marking the start of what promised to be a life-changing global experience. The pre-conference immersion programme provided students with the opportunity to combine travel, culture, and learning. The delegation visited the Team Labs Modern Art Museum, where interactive installations and tech-inspired creativity left them awe-struck and reflective. A city tour in Abu Dhabi followed, with visits to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, inspiring students with the harmony of spirituality, tradition, and modernity.
The day concluded in Dubai with a delightful dinner at Claypot Restaurant before checking into the hotel, offering the delegation time to reflect on their experiences and prepare for the week ahead. From 19th to 25th September, the SAIoneers will immerse themselves in the RSIC journey through keynote sessions, Baraza discussions, cultural evenings, desert explorations, and service learning activities. With the guiding IDEALS of Round Square—Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service—this conference will serve as a powerful platform for growth, collaboration, and global citizenship.
This first day was more than just a journey; it was the beginning of discovery, camaraderie, and personal transformation. With curiosity and pride, our students are ready to represent the school on this prestigious international stage.
