On September 23, 2025, the excited SAIoneers set out from Bhubaneswar for a remarkable educational expedition to the United States as part of the Global Immersion Program (GIP) cum Internship. The two-week journey is designed to provide students with global exposure, practical learning, and invaluable insights into international academics and careers.
The trip began with their arrival in Chicago, Illinois, where students explored the city’s architectural wonders and visited the Museum of Science and Industry. Over the coming days, the delegation will participate in enriching academic sessions, hands-on workshops, and immersive cultural experiences at leading institutions, including DePaul University, Grand Valley State University, Ferris State University, Alma College, Northwood University, and Kettering University.
Highlights of the itinerary include laboratory science sessions, Model United Nations simulations, exposure to industrial and heavy engineering careers, robotics workshops, and sustainability projects. Beyond academics, students will also enjoy cultural immersions like city tours of Chicago and New York, visits to landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Niagara Falls, and the 9/11 Memorial, fostering a deeper understanding of global heritage.
