The spirit of adventure, collaboration, and global learning came alive as five students and their teacher, Ms Piyali Shaw, from SAI International Residential School set out from Bhubaneswar to participate in the Round Square Conference 2026 in Trivandrum, Kerala. They were joined by three students from SAI International School, bringing together a team representing both institutions.
The journey provided the students with their first opportunity to come together as a team. With the students from SAI International School being new to the group, the travel experience became a meaningful space for introductions, conversations, shared experiences, and the formation of new friendships. From spending time together during the journey to sharing meals and exploring the airport during the layover, the students embraced every opportunity to connect and strengthen their team spirit.
On reaching Trivandrum, the team proceeded to Uday Samudra Beach Resort, where the students settled into their rooms. The school flags of SAI International Residential School and SAI International School were handed over to the respective student representatives, marking the formal beginning of their Round Square Conference journey.
Despite the long journey, the students remained enthusiastic and eager about the experiences ahead. The first day set the tone for a memorable journey centred on friendship, collaboration, cultural exchange, and learning beyond the classroom.
As the conference journey unfolds, the students of SAI International Residential School look forward to engaging with young minds from diverse backgrounds, gaining new perspectives, and embracing the values of global citizenship that lie at the heart of the Round Square philosophy.
