SAIMUN 2025 Concludes with Celebratory Spirit and Diplomatic Excellence

SAIMUN 2025 concluded with a vibrant Closing Ceremony at SAI International School, highlighting two days of rigorous debate, cultural harmony, and youth-led diplomacy. Smt. Surama Padhy, Hon’ble Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly, addressed the delegates, inspiring them to pursue solutions to global challenges with courage and collaboration.

With participation from 750 delegates representing 23 countries and 26 schools, SAIMUN 2025 stood as a powerful example of youth-led diplomacy. Committees like UNGA-DISEC, UNSC, UNHCR, UN-Women, WHO, UNFCCC, UNICEF, and Indian Parliament debated pressing global issues such as the global arms trade, women’s rights under the Taliban, online child protection, air quality, and the persecution of Tibetan Buddhists.

The event was also marked by the Global Village, where cultures came alive through music, cuisine, and traditional art. The SAI Tribune, created by the International Press Corps, captured every insight, emotion, and highlight of the event. The closing ceremony served not just as a conclusion but as a celebration of collaboration, compassion, and leadership—the very principles that SAIMUN was built on.
