The AFS Inter-Cultural Exchange Program at SAI International Residential School commenced with great enthusiasm as the delegation from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls’ Public School (RKKGPS) arrived on campus to a warm and heartfelt reception. The day marked the beginning of a week filled with cultural immersion, collaboration, and global friendship.
The guests were greeted with a captivating welcome dance performance by SIRS students, which added vibrancy and cultural depth to the reception. The delegation expressed their delight and appreciation for the thoughtful gesture, which beautifully set the tone for the days ahead. As part of the tradition and spirit of Indian hospitality, the visiting students were welcomed with the ceremonial Teeka, symbolising respect, warmth, and goodwill. After settling comfortably into the boarding houses and enjoying a refreshing evening break, the students visited the tranquil SAI Baba Temple, offering them a peaceful and reflective moment. A guided tour of the SIRS campus followed, giving the delegation a glimpse into the school’s dynamic academic facilities, co-curricular spaces, and the vibrant life that shapes the SIRS experience. The tour sparked curiosity and excitement about the enriching journey awaiting them.
The evening transitioned into an engaging ice-breaking session, where students from both schools exchanged stories, laughter, and lively conversations. This interaction laid the foundation for deep connections and collaborative learning throughout the week. The day concluded with a wholesome welcome dinner, offering comfort and warmth to the delegation after their long travel. With hearts full and spirits high, the students retired early to rest and prepare for the enriching activities planned for the coming days.
The wonderful beginning marks not only the start of the exchange program but also the promise of lasting friendships and transformative learning experiences.
