On July 17, SAI International Residential School marked the World Day for International Justice with a unique and moving assembly led by the Symphony Music Club. The event beautifully blended the power of music with the ideals of global justice, creating an unforgettable experience for all in attendance.
The assembly began with a stirring rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless poem “Where the mind is without fear…”, invoking a spirit of introspection, freedom, and shared responsibility. This set the tone for a morning dedicated to reflecting on humanity’s collective pursuit of dignity, fairness, and peace. The Word of the Day, Magnanimity, and an inspiring Thought for the Day served as poignant reminders of noble intent, resilience, and compassion.
Students presented an insightful overview of July 17, the date that commemorates the adoption of the Rome Statute and the establishment of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Their message highlighted the importance of holding perpetrators of serious crimes accountable and reinforcing the global commitment to human rights and international law. The highlight of the assembly was the electrifying performance by the Symphony Band. With their high-energy musical expression and powerful message, the band left the audience spellbound.
Through this assembly, SAI International Residential School once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing global citizens who express themselves with both heart and voice, championing values that build a better, fairer world.
