SAI International Residential School held its first Investiture Ceremony. It was graced by Shri Sanjay Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police, Bhubaneshwar-Cuttack. The future leaders and the core team of Student Council was felicitated and sworn in. The newly inducted leaders of the Student Council 2018-19 and the leaders of different houses, clubs and classes were adorned with sashes and pinned with badges in a glittering function, followed by the oath taking ceremony. Manvi Agarawal and Vikalsh Bansal were sworn in as the Head Girl and the Head Boy of SIRS respectively for the academic session 2018-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman, Dr. BK Sahoo shared a very inspiring story on leadership and also emphasized upon the qualities a leader should posses. He said, “a leader is one who knows the way, shows the way and who also goes the way.”
Chief Guest, Shri Singh congratulated the newly inducted leaders and inspired the students through his words. He appealed and asked the students to be polite and humble and said, “Humility is a virtue which will take you at the pinnacle of success.” He also emphasized on touching the feet to seek blessings from teachers as it’s an important aspect of growth and learning.
Headmaster Shri Amitabh Agnihotri congratulated all the student council leaders and wished them luck for the entire term.
