Inspiring Highlights from Day 2 of Founder’s Celebrations: SAI Uploads the Legacy of Residential Education

The ongoing 9th Founder’s Day celebrations at SAI International Residential School reached new heights as the campus came alive with cultural vibrancy, academic honors, and motivational addresses. The day’s highlights were graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Shri Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate of Cuttack,Govt. of India, whose inspiring words resonated with students and educators alike. The event brought together the school community, parents, grandparents and esteemed guests to celebrate the institution’s unwavering commitment to holistic education and the development of global citizens. Vibrant performances, a heartfelt address by Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson of SAI International Group, and a felicitation ceremony honouring outstanding achievements added a sense of pride and purpose to the celebrations.

Dr. Silpi Sahoo, Chairperson of SAI International Group, inspired the audience by reflecting on the visionary legacy of Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo and the school’s unwavering commitment to foster sports education as an integral part of the curriculum. She expressed deep appreciation to the entire school community for their collective efforts in nurturing future-ready global citizens.

Shri Dattatraya Bhausaheb Shinde, IAS, Collector & District Magistrate of Cuttack, praised the school’s integration of academics with extracurriculars, especially sports, while also highlighting the creative brilliance of the "Harry Potter Chronicles." He shared, “Education is the solution to all issues and teaches you to distinguish between right and wrong,” encouraging students to balance academics with a sport and an art.He spoke about his time working with Dr. Sahoo in Ganjam to extend privileges to underprivileged backgrounds, which led to Ganjam receiving two national prizes the following year. Praising Dr. Silpi Sahoo for continuing the visionary legacy of Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, he encouraged students to balance academics with one good sport and one good art to achieve a well-rounded personality. He lauded the contributions of Founder-Chairman, Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, to government schools during his tenure as the advisor for Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas. His visionary efforts played a crucial role in elevating the standards of government schools in the state, reflecting his deep commitment to educational reform in Odisha. He urged the students to continue supporting underprivileged communities and to seek support during emotional distress and encouraged the SAI community to conduct outreach programs in nearby villages to contribute to society.

The felicitation ceremony honored the winners of the Founder's Cup Debate (Champion - Vajra House, Runners-up - Chakra House), toppers from Science (95.2%), Commerce (98%), and Humanities (97.6%), the emerging Global SAIoneer, and recipients of the Overall Academic Award (Vajra House), the Runners-up Award for Overall Academics (Chakra House), the Winner Award for Cultural (Chakra House), the Runners-up Award for Cultural (Dhvaja House), and the prestigious Founder's Trophy (Dhvaja House).
