As part of the ongoing JGU Knowledge Series, SAI International Residential School recently hosted an insightful Career Talk by O.P. Jindal Global University on 1 July 2025, aimed at equipping senior students with a deeper understanding of interdisciplinary career pathways.
The engaging session was attended by students of Grades XI and XII, who were keen to explore evolving trends in higher education and career planning. The talk was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) Nisha Nair, Vice Dean, Office of Admissions and Outreach, and Professor at Jindal Global Law School, along with Ms. Tanima Banerjee, Manager, Outreach and Admissions.
Titled “Beyond Boundaries: Career Choice – A Major Decision & Interdisciplinary Career Pathways”, the session highlighted the significance of informed decision-making in shaping one’s future. Students were introduced to the concept of interdisciplinary education, the importance of finding the right academic and career fit, and the growing relevance of hybrid skill sets in a globalised world.
The speakers encouraged students to look at careers as dynamic journeys rather than fixed goals, urging them to pursue paths aligned with their strengths and interests. The session not only broadened perspectives but also empowered students to think beyond conventional options and embrace the flexibility offered by modern education systems.
The talk proved to be an enriching experience, reinforcing SIRS’s commitment to nurturing well-informed, confident, and future-ready learners.
