On February 21, junior students at SAI International Residential School joyfully observed International Mother Language Day, celebrating the beauty of linguistic diversity. The young learners introduced themselves in various languages such as Sanskrit, Odia, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Marwari, Tamil, Telugu, Japanese, French, and English, highlighting the wide variety of global and regional dialects. Through a variety of engaging activities, the students reflected on the importance of preserving and respecting their mother tongue, mirroring the honour they have for their native. The special assembly deepened the appreciation for linguistic diversity, reinforcing that languages are not just tools for communication but also symbols of cultural identity and unity. This celebration was a strong reminder that every language is important and merits preservation for future generations. By encouraging students to embrace their linguistic roots, SIRS continues to cultivate global citizens who respect and cherish cultural heritage.
