The Harvard Model United Nations India 2026 journey began on an energetic and inspiring note for the students of SAI International Residential School as they travelled from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru to participate in the prestigious four-day conference, being held from August 13 to 16, 2026. The Bengaluru chapter is part of the 16th session of Harvard Model United Nations India.
Day 1 opened a dynamic platform for dialogue, debate and diplomacy. Following the opening ceremony, SAIoneers stepped confidently into their respective committees, including DISEC, UNDP and SPECPOL, where they engaged in meaningful discussions on pressing global challenges.
With enthusiasm and determination, the students actively participated in debates, exchanged perspectives and worked towards developing thoughtful and practical solutions to complex real-world issues. Their confident participation reflected their ability to think critically, articulate their viewpoints and collaborate with fellow delegates while exploring the nuances of international relations and diplomacy.
The experience offered the young delegates an opportunity to move beyond textbooks and engage with global issues through negotiation, discussion and problem-solving. Their energetic participation throughout the day set an encouraging tone for the days ahead. The eventful day concluded with a sumptuous dinner on the hotel terrace, providing the students with a relaxed evening to unwind, reflect on their experiences and connect with one another. As they wrapped up their first day, SAIoneers carried forward a renewed sense of enthusiasm and anticipation for the exciting sessions ahead.
With confidence in their voices and a spirit of diplomacy in their hearts, the young delegates look forward to making every moment of their Harvard MUN India journey count.
