Students of Class X went on an educational trip to the G20 3rd Education Working Group Meeting on 28 April, 2023 held at the Institute of Minerals and Material Technology, Bhubaneswar. The 3 day event conducted from April 26-28, 2023 was based on an exhibition on the theme of “Future of Work”, encompassing seminars on ‘Building Capacities for Lifelong Learning’, organized at CSIR in collaboration with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation).
Delegates from G20 countries and organizations like UNESCO and UNICEF attended these meetings. The programmes under the Education Working Group were being led by the vision and guidance of the Union Minister for Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship. This visit was a great opportunity for the SAIoneers to witness a broad spectrum of activities based on the future of farming, education, healthcare , transportation, entertainment, games, future of Inclusion, manufacturing and entrepreneurship. The apps created by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology like UMANG, API SETU, DIKSHA, Meri Pehchan-National Single Sign-on- were highly appreciated by the young critical thinkers who will be the future leaders of our country. Companies like Infosys, Microsoft, Tata and Colleges like NIT Rourkela,IIT BBSR, Symbiosis, KIIT, CV Raman Global University, Siksha and Anusandhan University BBSR also participated in the 'Skills For Development' programme. One of the prominent takeaways from this mega event was to instill in students, a sense of civic responsibility, socio-emotional awareness, a growth mindset, mental flexibility, and above all an entrepreneurial mindset.
