SAI International Residential School celebrated the life of the Founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo on the 3rd Founder’s Day ‘Bijaya Bhava’, on December 22 & 23, 2021 marking the 2-day conclave with his memories. Day one of the most awaited Founder’s Day had a warm start with the Annual Athletic meet on December 22, 2021, in the magnificent SAI International Sports Stadium of SAI International Residential School. The Athletic meet set the mood day for the celebrations to follow. The morning started with a humble welcome to the Chief Guest DCP Cuttack, IPS, Shri Prateek Singh who witnessed the Guard of Honor followed by unfurling of the SIRS flag and the March Past. Following the COVID norms and the new normal only the students and the school authority participated in the Athletic meet. After the March past began the track event and aerobic drill. Shri Prateek Singh motivated the SAIoneers with his words of wisdom and assured to meet them again at another event soon and give then tips on handling the social media. He urged the students to read more and more to gain wisdom as all the knowledge and wisdom are hidden in books.
The evening cultural session depicted the flavors of India that represented unity in diversity on the same day, with the renowned Film Maker, Producer, Director and Writer Shri Sabyasachi Mohapatra as the Chief Guest. Shri Mohantry was mesmerized with the resplendent performances of the SAIoneers, he paid a humble tribute to the legend Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo Founder-Chairman, SAI International Education Group. Shri Mohanty said, “Dr Sahoo has not just made a school but he has installed a centre of human transformation in Odisha”, while quoting him he said his motto of either be the best or different from the rest stands true to its virtue, when his SAIoneers perform with such grace and confidence.
Day 2 of ‘Bijaya Bhava’, of the 3rd Founder’s Day on December 23, 2021 started on a very emotional note with remembering Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, Founder-Chairman SAI International Education Group. The Chief Guest Shri Bhabani Shakar Chayani, Collector & District Magistrate, Cuttack along with his wife Dr Linu Chayani Founder Director LISAS IAS Study Circle), went down the memory lane and remembered the legend as a ‘man of great vision and action’, Shri Chayani said Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo was a man who practiced excellence as a way of life. He also said, “Vision without action is day dreaming and vision with action can change the world and you the students can be the change makers of the society just like your Founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo”.
Speaking on the occasion Headmaster, Shri Amitabh Agnihotri said, “The celebrations were conducted adhering to the COVID mandates as laid by the State Government. He said,” such activities foster a sense of confidence, creativity, communication and collaboration skills essential for the 21st century. By encouraging the children to participate in activities outside of the classroom, we as a school are giving them a route to develop new interests, and deepen their social and intellectual growth, which are the pillars of the society. It is our extreme duty to nurture children academically, spiritually, physically, emotionally, and socially. Our Founder Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo was highly missed but it was under his supreme, eternal and spiritual guidance we were able to put the show up and remembered him at each point.
The 2 days conclave of the 3rd Founder’s Day ‘Bijaya Bhava’, concluded with academic excellence award distribution for the students. The entire fraternity along with the students took an Oath of Allegiance to abide by the vision of the Founder and take the legacy of excellence to higher orders.
