“A great song should lift your heart, warm the soul and make you feel good.”  — Colbie Caillat

The students of the Symphony club of SAI International Residential School held a musical concert on August 4, 2018 on the topic Fusion. Music is the expression of heart and mind. It brings out the emotion that goes inside a person in the best way. As it’s well said music works best when words fail.

India has a diverse culture and similarly music evolved in basically two forms in India the Hindustani classical and Carnatic music. It used to be sung in king’s court to entertain the king. Gradually it came into bhakti and bhakti emerged as new genre altogether. Music changed from one age to another from classical to bhakti to western and now fusion. Music changes as per the socio religious beliefs also.

The students showed a beautiful video clip on how music can be captivating when played with passion. They even performed a small and sweet concert for the audience. It was a hypnotic performance by the Symphony club.

Music is to soul just like breath is for life. Students enjoyed performing and so did the audience.
