On September 4, 2026, SAI International Residential School celebrated Janmashtami with devotion, joy and a meaningful reflection on the timeless wisdom of Lord Krishna. The celebration brought together the SIRS family in an atmosphere of spiritual reflection and festive warmth, allowing students to connect with the deeper values associated with the birth of Krishna and his enduring message to humanity.
The day commenced with a special combined assembly that created a serene and spiritually uplifting atmosphere. Through meaningful reflections and presentations, the SAIoneers revisited the deeper essence of Janmashtami, exploring the triumph of good over evil, the victory of divine light over ignorance and the importance of surrendering ego to the power of love. The celebration beautifully connected the traditional significance of the festival with values that remain relevant in everyday life.
Adding grace and colour to the occasion, the SAIoneers presented a thematic dance performance that captured the spirit of devotion and beautifully portrayed the eternal message associated with Lord Krishna. Through music, movement and expression, the performance brought alive the values of faith, love, compassion and righteousness.
The spirit of Janmashtami continued into the evening as the SIRS family gathered at the MSB Lobby for a traditional Janmashtami Puja. Dressed in traditional attire, students and teachers came together in prayer and devotion, creating an atmosphere filled with faith, togetherness and love for Krishna. The puja offered a quiet moment of reflection on Krishna as a divine force who inspires humanity to uphold righteousness and truth.
The celebration also brought attention to one of Krishna’s most enduring teachings: to perform one’s duty with sincerity, remain composed and have faith in one’s efforts without becoming consumed by the outcome.
