Fourteen SAIoneers from Class XI and XII have cracked the KVPY examinations with flying colours!

SAIoneer Atish Kumar Sahoo of Class XI, is the State Topper for KVPY 2021, he touched the pinnacle with a record breaking All India Rank -13. SAIoneer Goutam Das,of Class XII, who had recently topped in JEE Mains in the State, and has done remarkably well by qualifying for KVPY  and stands at AIR 222.

From Class XII the qualifying students are Sooraj Nanda (AIR 263), Deepak Nanda (AIR 487), Pournava Pratyasa Pradhan (AIR 536), Nekta N Swastisravan Mishra(AIR 828),Asish Kumar Panda(1320), Gauri Shankar Swain(AIR 1340), Shree Rath (AIR 1498), Shreemoy Mahapatra (AIR 1644), and N. Anuska (AIR 528). From Class XI we have Soham Pal (AIR 154),Veda Raju (AIR 648) and Ankan Mohapatra (AIR 851).

Atish’s  proud parents Shri Gagan Bihari Sahoo, and his mother Smt Geetanjali Sahoo are very happy to hear about his achievement. His father works with a private firm as Project Manager, and mother is a housewife. They say, when Atish sits to study for 2-3 hours every day and at that time, he studies with complete dedication and concentration without any distraction. Instead of studying for many hours he prefers do take the path of quality personal undisturbed study time. Currently he is pursuing his 11th grade and has taken up Maths and Biology and is scoring very well in both the subjects. Atish had topped in Maths Olympiad when he was in Grade II and has been receiving scholarship ever since then. He enjoys playing sports and loves reading books.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science. The prestigious Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2020 – as a test attracts exceptionally motivated students for pursuing scientific careers.
