On 8 December 2024, SAI International Residential School hosted a very lively Slogan Writing Competition on the theme of eco-criticism. 32 students were enthusiastic about the event creating a vibrant space to tap creative initiatives while tackling a serious ecological issue. The open venue was designed not only to challenge the writing skills of students but also to deepen their understanding of the environment.

The students drew for the competition slogans from environmental problems and sustainable practices observed in Poland, South Africa, India, and Japan. They made slogans that would speak powerfully on weighty global issues like climate change, conservation, and sustainable living. Listening to each reciting their slogans revealed the passion behind their written words, leaving an indelible impression on their peers and teachers.

Further to this, vibrant visuals also adorned each of these slogans and were displayed across the school and boarding house. They would raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation to spark conversation and action among the entire school community.

Slogans were generated by evaluating each submission by a panel of judges, who then selected the 10 best to put on display boards around the school to ensure they reached even more people. What these students created was commended by teachers for being thought-provoking and meaningful contributions towards the cause as evidenced by the dedication shown by every participant. The event not only promoted creativity and communication skills but also a sense of environmental responsibility.
