Children’s Day celebration at SAI International Residential School was a grand affair with a gamut of activities and events. The day started with a special assembly to make the children feel all the more special. A sumptuous breakfast later, the students were shown a presentation on Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, tracing his life, achievements and his love for children. The teachers presented a wonderful dance fusion which was highly enjoyed by everyone present in the auditorium.
Children were taken to the Make in Odisha Conclave later in the day to get an in-depth idea about the achievements and success of the state. Students loved the theme ‘I am Odisha’ and visited several stalls which gave them an enriching experience of the world of entrepreneurs in Odisha. They also got an opportunity to have a special dialogue with Vedanta Aluminium Limited to learn about various activities and products of the company. They also saw a video on aluminium extraction by the company.
At the MIO Conclave, students visited a model planetarium which was very educative. Students were happy to learn that the state is surging ahead in many aspects and is in the path of true progress. The flagship biennial business event of the Government of Odisha had a great impact on the students.
The celebration continued in the afternoon with Inter house dance competition. The talented students did various kind of dances like solo, duet and group. Each house put on their best effort to win the competition. It ended with a beautiful performance by the dance teachers to honour the children of SIRS on their special day.
Childhood is the most joyous time in one’s life span. It is the time when emotional, social and physical developments take place; it is the time when the fountain of good and bad habits starts flowing; it is the only time when parents and teachers can change the destiny of a child by investing their time and energy to ensure a positive environment to learn and grow.
