Curiosity has its own reason for existing”. — Albert Einstein Curiosity is heavily associated with all aspects of human development, in which derives the process of learning and desire to acquire knowledge and skill. The term curiosity can also be used to denote the behavior or emotion of being curious, with regards to the desire to gain knowledge or information. Class VII students of SAI International Residential School held a session on Curiosity and they also presented a video highlighting how curiosity leads to a new way of life. A child’s brain is the most curious of all. Hence it they learn and adapt to new things surrounding them.

“One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken.” —Leo Tolstoy Tech-Wiz Club students of SAI International Residential School held a special session on the World Nature Day (WND) which is celebrated on October 3 every year. WND was first celebrated by the World Nature Organisation (WNO) which is and intergovernmental organization focused on protecting the environment. It was founded in 2010 and came into effect from 2014, it was founded by the African countries and countries surrounded by the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean; headquartered in Geneva.

International Day of Older Persons 2018

“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing”. — George Bernard Shaw The best people are the old and people having the wrinkle of experience with sparkling eyes and at time toothless smile. SAI International Residential School students observed the International Day of Older Persons on Monday, October 1, 2018. On December 14, 1990, the United Nations General Assembly designated October 1, as the International Day of Older Persons. It is believed that by 2050 nearly 2 billion people will be in the old age bracket i.e. in their 60’s in the developing nations across the world. So it becomes important for the younger generations to understand their contribution and help them lead the later part of their life with peace and happiness.

International Day of Non-Violence Gandhi Jayanti

“An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind.” — Mahatma Gandhi Mahatma Gandhi; Peace Personified; 2nd October is observed as the International Day of Non-Violence. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti the Srivatsa house of SAI International Residential School conducted a special celebration to commemorate two towering personalities: Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversaries. To mark the auspicious day they prepared a special session on patriotism and remembered the pre-independence freedom struggle and Mahatma Gandhi’s contribution by his non-violent methods. The students staged a stupendous play and showcased the struggle for independence led by Mahatma Gandhi. They also gave an informative speech on the contribution in nation building of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bharat Ratna and the second Prime Minister of India.
