“There’s no harm in hoping for the best as long as you’re prepared for the worst.” ― Stephen King, Disaster can broadly be said as a catastrophe that leads to a sudden loss of life or property resulting into grief and sadness. Chakra House students of SAI International Residential School held a session on Disaster and its Management. Disasters are sudden therefore; one has to be very alert and cautious. Students shared the Amritsar disaster which was unexpected and unwarranted and explained that there can be different kinds of calamities like natural or man-made.

“To sing is to pray twice.” – St Augustine An aerosphere of music was created at SAI International Residential School by the great Sarangi exponent Ustad Sabir Khan, he was accompanied by Shri Aadil Khan on Tabla. Ustad Sabir Khan interacted with the students and briefed them about the history and origin of the 41-stringed Sarangi, the various Ragas and how different songs are composed based on a single Raga.

The last day of the Global Immersion Programme (GIP) to Singapore was spent in the Universal Studios, the famous theme park with interesting rides, shows etc. Students enjoyed the various attractions like road shows, adventure sports, joy rides to their heart’s content.

The students and teachers of SAI International on a trip to Singapore for the Global Immersion Programme (GIP) started their day with a visit to Sentosa Island, a man-made island built for fun and recreation. They had a wonderful time visiting the huge aquarium that is home to more than 800 species of marine life including sharks. Students got an opportunity to explore the aquarium’s various habitats that mimic underwater life for hundreds of fish, mammals and marine plants in different areas of the planet, from the Red Sea to the Arabian Sea to the South China Sea.
