The educursion is about to end and the children are in full swing and still not exhausted. Even being the sixth day the children were very excited. The student of the Royal Rajasthan group of classes V and VI visited City Palace of Udaipur immediately after the breakfast. It was built over a period of nearly 400 years ago, with contributions from several rulers of the Mewar dynasty. Its construction began in 1553, started by Maharana Udai Singh II of the Sisodia Rajput family as he shifted his capital from the erstwhile Chittor to the new found city of Udaipur. The Palace is located on the eastern bank of Lake Pichola and has several Palaces built within its complex. The most exciting thing to do in the lake of City Palace is boating. Children enjoyed it the most. After City Palace we went for lunch. Post lunch visiting was to Saheliyon-ki-Bari (Courtyard or Garden of the Maidens) is a major garden and a popular tourist space in Udaipur. It lies in northern part of the city and has fountains and kiosks, a lotus pool and marble elephants.
