SAI International Residential School witnessed a truly inspiring morning as it came together to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day, thoughtfully intertwined with a Sports Felicitation Ceremony, a beautiful confluence of gratitude and achievement.

The assembly began on a serene note with a soulful prayer, setting a reflective and respectful tone for the day. Students shared heartfelt thoughts, acknowledging teachers as the guiding lights who shape not just academic journeys but also character, values, and aspirations. The atmosphere resonated with admiration and respect, as every word reflected the deep bond between mentors and learners. Adding a special charm to the occasion, a melodious band performance by students served as a heartfelt tribute to their teachers, expressing gratitude in a way that was both emotional and uplifting.

The celebration then moved on to recognising sporting excellence, applauding the dedication and perseverance of young athletes. The SAI Kaleidoscope Futsal Championship brought moments of pride, with Kalinga Kickers in the girls category and Guardian in the boys category emerging as champions, while Odissi Strikers and Wildcats secured the runner up positions. The spirit of competition and teamwork was evident in every achievement.

In the Badminton Championship in the Colts category, Amit Kumar Patra and Sai Krishna Bhuyan showcased remarkable skill and determination, securing top honours in their respective categories. The Pickleball Championship further highlighted sporting excellence, with Aarav Sultania in Junior Boys, Askand Singh in Senior Boys, and Shomili Tarway in Senior Girls emerging as champions, reflecting both talent and commitment.

The Inter House Tug of War Championship added energy and excitement to the celebration, demonstrating the power of teamwork and resilience. Chakra House in Girls and Junior Boys and Dhvaja House in Senior Boys stood victorious, embodying unity and strength.

A special moment of pride came with the recognition of outstanding performers at the SIRS Champions Trophy 2026, where Nageswar Mahakud and Tuhin Saha were honoured for their exceptional accomplishments. The school also celebrated students who represented SIRS at the All Odisha Open Rapid Chess Championship 2026, reflecting a growing culture of competitive excellence and intellectual engagement.

More than just a ceremony, the assembly stood as a powerful reminder of what truly defines a vibrant learning community, the unwavering guidance of teachers and the relentless spirit of students. It celebrated not only victories but also the values of dedication, discipline, and perseverance.

In every sense, the day captured the essence of SAI, where gratitude meets achievement and where every individual is inspired to strive for excellence beyond boundaries.
