Rising to the Challenge: SIRS Volleyball Teams Serve Up Grit, Growth & Glory

SAI International Residential School proudly celebrates the spirited performance of its Under-14 Boys and Girls Volleyball Teams at the CBSE Cluster-II Volleyball Tournament 2026, held from August 26 to 29, 2026, at Krishna Vikash Next Gen School, Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh. The tournament provided the young athletes with a valuable platform to compete at a higher level while developing their skills, confidence and understanding of competitive sport.

The Under-14 Boys Team delivered an impressive campaign, displaying excellent coordination, discipline, confidence and fighting spirit throughout the tournament. In their League Match, SIRS defeated Shraddha Public School, Raipur, 2–0, with scores of 15–07 and 15–09. Continuing their strong run, the team defeated Delhi Public School, Bilaspur, 2–0in the Quarter-Final, winning 15–07 and 15–06.

The Semi-Final saw the SIRS boys face The Great India Public School in a closely contested encounter. The team put up a determined fight but eventually went down 0–2, with scores of 11–15 and 13–15. Their impressive performance across the tournament earned them a well-deserved  Bronze Medal, bringing immense pride to the SIRS fraternity.

For the Under-14 Girls Team, the tournament marked an important milestone as they participated in a CBSE competitive volleyball tournament for the first time. In their opening match against Army Public School, Kalimpong, the young players went down 0–2, with scores of 07–15 and 09–15. Despite the result, the team displayed commendable enthusiasm, confidence, determination and team spirit.

Together, the two teams made the tournament a meaningful chapter in the SIRS sporting journey. While the Boys’ Bronze Medal added another proud achievement to the school’s sporting legacy, the Girls’ first competitive experience laid an important foundation for stronger performances in the years ahead.

The tournament also reinforced the school’s belief that sporting excellence is about more than winning. It is about learning to work together, responding to challenges with courage, respecting opponents, remaining disciplined and continuing to grow with every experience.
