The young storytellers of SAI International Residential School proudly participated in the 4th Edition of the Round Square Collaborative Project – Story Relay: Pass the Baton 2026, held from 30th June to 4th July 2026 and hosted by SAI International School. Bringing together 20 Round Square schools from across the globe, the unique initiative celebrated the power of storytelling while fostering creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking among young learners.
Centred on the inspiring theme, "A Green World – Our Dream Come True," the collaborative project invited participating schools to co-author a meaningful mini novel, with each institution contributing a chapter to the evolving narrative. Receiving the story baton from the preceding school, the SIRS team thoughtfully crafted Chapter 13, titled "The Voice Within," seamlessly advancing the storyline while introducing fresh imagination, emotional depth, and a powerful message on environmental stewardship.
Adding another creative dimension to their contribution, the students also recorded an expressive audio narration of their chapter. Through effective voice modulation and dramatic presentation, they brought the story to life, demonstrating confidence, creativity, and excellent communication skills. Upon completion, the chapter manuscript, professionally recorded audio file, and activity photographs were submitted to the host school for inclusion in the final collaborative storybook and audiobook.
The project provided students with a valuable opportunity to engage in global collaboration, appreciate diverse perspectives, and strengthen essential 21st-century skills through meaningful participation. By working collectively with peers from different schools and cultures, they experienced firsthand the importance of teamwork, empathy, and creative expression.
Reflecting the spirit of the Round Square IDEALS, the Story Relay project inspired students to become thoughtful global citizens and responsible environmental stewards. Through the universal language of storytelling, the SAIoneers contributed to a shared vision of a greener, more sustainable future while demonstrating that collaboration and imagination can truly make a lasting impact.
