The SAIoneers’ Senior Leadership Trip commenced with great energy and enthusiasm as 70 students and seven teachers embarked on an exciting journey from campus to Bhubaneswar and onward to Delhi. The adventure continued with a scenic road trip to Kanatal, where the journey itself became a celebration of togetherness, filled with music, laughter and unforgettable moments. With refreshing halts and breathtaking views of hills and valleys, the students arrived safely at Tehri Retreat, Kanatal by evening, ready to embrace the enriching experiences that lay ahead. From the very first day, the trip began nurturing essential values of discipline, independence and leadership.

Day 2 unfolded as a dynamic blend of adventure and teamwork. Students actively engaged in creative team formations and challenging tasks that tested their collaboration, resilience and problem-solving skills. The highlight of the day, the Air Crash Challenge, encouraged participants to think strategically and work collectively towards a common goal. Adventure activities such as jumaring, spider web and swinging ladder further built confidence and courage. Surrounded by the majestic Himalayan landscape, every experience contributed to personal growth and lasting memories.

Day 3 began early with renewed energy and excitement. Students embarked on a mountain hike, followed by a series of adrenaline-filled activities including zip lining, rope climbing and free fall. These experiences pushed them beyond their comfort zones, helping them discover inner strength and determination. The afternoon was dedicated to team-building exercises that strengthened trust, communication and cooperation. A unique highlight of the day was the Maggi-making challenge combined with a treasure hunt, where creativity and teamwork came together in a fun and engaging manner. As the day drew to a close, students gathered for prayers, connected with their families and enjoyed a vibrant bonfire evening filled with music, performances and laughter.

Day 4 brought yet another enriching chapter in the journey. The day began with an early start amidst the serene Himalayan surroundings, followed by a 3-kilometre trek through scenic forest trails and mountain slopes. The trek, both challenging and rewarding, offered stunning views of valleys and distant snow-capped peaks. Students demonstrated remarkable teamwork, perseverance and camaraderie throughout the journey. After the trek, they enjoyed a refreshing outdoor lunch in the lap of nature before visiting the magnificent Tehri Lake and the iconic Tehri Dam, one of the tallest dams in Asia. This experience added a valuable dimension to their learning, connecting them with real-world engineering and environmental perspectives.

The day concluded with a joyful bonfire evening that celebrated the spirit of togetherness through music, laughter and shared memories. As the journey continues, the Senior Leadership Trip stands as a powerful platform for experiential learning, fostering leadership, confidence, independence and resilience in every student. It is not just a trip, but a transformative experience that is shaping future-ready leaders and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
