Medals, Merit and Leadership: SIRS NCC Cadets at Annual Training Camp 2026

The NCC cadets of SAI International Residential School returned with immense pride and honour following their remarkable participation in the Annual Training Camp (ATC)–2026, held from 7th to 16th January 2026 at GIET, Baniatangi, Khordha. The camp was organised under 1 (O) Arty Bty NCC, Cuttack, and witnessed the participation of 332 cadets from various institutions.

To celebrate their glorious return, a special combined assembly was organised at the school, where the cadets were applauded for their discipline, leadership, and exemplary performance across multiple events. Demonstrating outstanding excellence in both sports and cultural categories, SIRS cadets brought laurels to the institution.

The Gold Medal winners included Lata Atal (Volleyball); Bhavya Kumari, Anushka Priyadarshini Sahoo and Pallavi Sarkar (Tug of War – Girls); the Group Dance team comprising Bhavya Kumari, Sreejeta Chuan, Suvonita Ghosh, Anushka Priyadarshini Sahoo, Pallavi Sarkar, Lata Atal and Debangshi Pramanick; Debangshi Pramanick for Solo Dance, Debate and Best Anchor; the Drama Team including Debangshi Pramanick, G. H. Roshan Rao, Swayam Prakash Swain, Summit Sahu and Sumit Charan Sahu; and Bhavya Kumari, who also secured the title of Best Firer. Silver Medals were earned by Debangshi Pramanick, Sreejeta Chuan and Lata Atal (Tug of War – Girls); Swayam Prakash Swain and Summit Sahu (Tug of War – Boys); Pallavi Sarkar (Solo Song); and Sreejeta Chuan (Best Firer). Adding to the school’s pride, Bhavya Kumari was conferred with the prestigious Camp Best Cadet honour, reflecting exceptional leadership, discipline, and all-round excellence.

The camp, led by Camp Commandant Col. Debabrata Moitry, provided rigorous training in drill, weapon handling, field craft, leadership development, and community service. The experience played a significant role in shaping confident, disciplined, and nation-ready leaders.
