On the occasion of World Hindi Day, SIRS organised a meaningful and well-structured morning assembly that highlighted its commitment to valuing, respecting, and promoting the national language on a global platform. The assembly began with a soulful prayer, setting a reflective tone and emphasising freedom of thought, truth, and the continuous pursuit of excellence.
Students introduced the Word of the Day, “सौम्यता,” explaining its meaning as gentleness and grace, and underscoring the importance of calm and courteous behaviour in everyday life. A thought-provoking couplet, “बोली एक अनमोल है…,” by Saint Kabir Das, reminded the audience that words hold immense value and must be used with care and wisdom, as thoughtful speech fosters harmony and unity in society.
The significance of World Hindi Day was elaborated upon, highlighting Hindi as the third most spoken language in the world and its expanding presence in international academic and cultural spheres. News segments covering international, national, state, and sports updates further enhanced students’ awareness of current affairs.
The assembly concluded with the National Pledge and the National Anthem, reinforcing a deep sense of pride in the Hindi language, Indian culture, and national identity.
