SAIoneers Celebrate Odisha’s Cultural Grandeur at Baliyatra 2025

The grandeur of Baliyatra 2025, one of Odisha’s most iconic cultural celebrations, shone brighter as the talented students of SAI International Residential School, Cuttack, showcased spectacular performances on the Baliyatra Stage – Cuttack-in-Cuttack, under the theme “Odia Language, Literature and Culture.” Approved by the Office of the District Education Officer, Cuttack, the school’s presentation featured three captivating performances that celebrated the depth and diversity of Odia heritage.

The event began with a Live Band performance that filled the air with soulful Odia traditional songs — from Jagannath Chanting and Ahe Neela Saila to evergreen melodies like Tunga Sikhari Chula and Jajabara. The rhythmic tunes and harmonious vocals invoked nostalgia and deep cultural pride. This was followed by an elegant Odissi dance performance, “Boita Bandaana”, symbolising Odisha’s rich maritime legacy, and a dynamic Folk Dance Mashup that showcased the colourful festivals and cultural vibrancy of the state.

Coordinated by the school’s senior leadership and guided by a team of dedicated teachers, the performances highlighted the SAIoneers’ artistic brilliance, cultural sensitivity, and reverence for tradition. The audience applauded the school’s effort in promoting the timeless spirit of Odisha through music, movement, and creative expression. Through their stellar performances, the students truly embodied the essence of SAI International’s holistic philosophy, nurturing young minds who learn, express, and lead with cultural pride and global awareness.
