On 5 September 2025, the Chairman’s Club of SAI International Residential School, comprising 77 students, embarked on a memorable educational trip to the Oxford Book Store at Symphony Mall, Bhubaneswar. The visit turned into an enriching blend of joy, curiosity, and independent learning.
The highlight of the day was the unique opportunity for students to use Oxford gift vouchers to purchase books of their own interest. From fiction and adventure to knowledge-based titles, students eagerly explored the shelves, carefully selecting books that matched their curiosity and imagination. This hands-on experience encouraged them to cultivate a lifelong love for reading while also building decision-making skills, independence, and accountability.
Teachers observed the enthusiasm with which students engaged in the activity, noting their growing sense of responsibility and passion for self-directed learning. The vibrant atmosphere of the bookstore echoed with excitement as each child left with a book in hand and a smile on their face.
