On 1st September 2025, SAI International Residential School came together for a combined Special Assembly as part of the Founder’s Memorial Series, honouring the life and vision of Late Dr. Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, the revered Founder of SAI International Education Group.
The assembly, led by Yellow House, began with the soulful recitation of Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless prayer “Where the Mind is Without Fear”, setting a reflective and inspiring tone. Students introduced the Word of the Day, “Allegiance”, and the Thought of the Day, which emphasised resilience through failure, inspiring peers to embrace perseverance as a path to growth.
A special tribute segment highlighted Dr. Sahoo’s remarkable contributions in transforming the educational landscape of Odisha and India. His prestigious recognition by IIM Calcutta and numerous national honours were cited as powerful testaments to his visionary leadership and his dream of nurturing a happy, empowered nation. The assembly also included the presentation of global, national, state, and sports news updates, the National Pledge, and reflections on the values of humility, gratitude, and service. Carrying forward the Founder’s ideals, students enthusiastically participated in the “Service to Society” activity. They cleaned the school garden and distributed food packets to the gardeners, a gesture that embodied compassion and respect for community service.
The day was a meaningful blend of knowledge, reflection, and service, reinforcing the Founder’s guiding principles and inspiring every SAIoneer to uphold his dream of building a better, more compassionate society.
