SAI International Residential School welcomed faculties from Ahmedabad University for a special Career Talk on “Navigating Data Science and Artificial Intelligence in the 21st Century.” The session, designed for Grade XI and XII Science students, was led by Prof. Dhaval Patel and Prof. Souvik Roy, both Assistant Professors from the School of Engineering & Applied Sciences.
The interactive talk introduced students to the concept of the data explosion—the rapid growth of data in today’s world—and emphasised the importance of intelligent systems and AI in addressing complex challenges across sectors like urban development, healthcare, and finance.
The professors also showcased how Ahmedabad University combines theoretical learning with hands-on projects to train future innovators and problem solvers. The session left students with a clearer understanding of emerging tech careers and sparked interest in data science as a powerful tool for transformation in the digital age.
