On 2 May 2025, SAI International Residential School hosted a multifaceted combined special assembly that seamlessly blended tradition with innovation, offering students a platform to celebrate learning beyond the classroom. The assembly was held in observance of World Astronomy Day, beginning with a soulful prayer, followed by a word and thought of the day by Stephen Hawking, urging students to look beyond our planet and embrace the infinite potential of the human spirit.
The morning proceeded with a well-curated news segment featuring key headlines from international, national, and state news, along with updates from the world of sports, keeping students informed and engaged with current affairs.
The highlight of the assembly was a special presentation by the 13-member student delegation that represented the school at the BSAI Opportunity Summit 2025, held at Chitkara University. This national-level summit brought together over 400 delegates from 22 prestigious schools across India, challenging participants in three critical areas: Impact, Content Creation, and Theatrics.
The students shared their enriching experiences through a compelling video presentation that offered insights into their journey, ranging from digital content development and policy-driven problem solving to the creative use of theatre for addressing social issues. A powerful live theatrical performance on mental health, inspired by their training at MU20, left a lasting impression on the audience.
Shri Amitabh Agnihotri, Headmaster, felicitated the delegates with certificates and mementoes, appreciating their creativity, collaboration, and leadership. In his address, he encouraged all students to rise above challenges, think innovatively, and become agents of positive change in society.
The special assembly was not only a celebration of World Astronomy Day but also a shining example of youth empowerment, creativity, and the school’s commitment to holistic education.
