In a vibrant celebration that echoed tradition, spirituality, and aspiration, SAI International Residential School hosted a Special Combined Assembly on Saturday, April 12, 2025, to mark the auspicious occasion of Vaisakhi. This grand assembly brought together the entire school community to honour a festival deeply rooted in cultural, agricultural, and spiritual significance.
The morning unfolded with grace and reverence as the soulful recitation of Rabindranath Tagore’s timeless prayer “Where the mind is without fear” set a reflective tone. This was followed by the chanting of the Arambh Bhojan Mantra, invoking a spirit of gratitude and mindfulness. The assembly continued with enriching segments led by students, including the Word of the Day and an engaging presentation on the historical and cultural significance of Vaisakhi. The audience gained valuable insights into the formation of the Khalsa Panth and the festival’s pivotal role in the agrarian calendar of India, highlighting its importance in uniting communities and celebrating the harvest.
Keeping students informed and globally aware, the session also featured news updates from the National, International, and Sports arenas, followed by an uplifting Thought of the Day to inspire purposeful reflection.
A key highlight of the assembly was a promo video and comprehensive presentation on the upcoming Leadership Trips to Chakrata, Mussoorie, and Srinagar-Leh-Ladakh, led by Headmaster Mr. Amitabh Agnihotri. The announcement sparked immense excitement among students, as they looked forward to the adventurous and transformational experiences designed to foster leadership, resilience, and a deeper understanding of the world.
The assembly concluded with the Bhojan Samapta Mantra, bringing the morning to a harmonious close. The atmosphere was filled with positivity, unity, and motivation as students and educators alike carried forward the day’s message — that true leadership is born from self-awareness, cultural grounding, and a spirit of gratitude.
This Special Assembly was a shining example of how SIRS seamlessly weaves together tradition and modernity, nurturing globally aware, culturally rooted future leaders.
