“Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.” — William Butler Yeats
The second day of the 8th Founder’s Celebrations – Udaan@100: India Rising at SAI International Residential School was thoughtfully structured around the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM), reaffirming the school’s strong belief that meaningful education flourishes through a collaborative partnership between home and school.
Conducted across designated classrooms in the Main School Building, the PTM provided parents with valuable insights into their children’s academic progress, behavioural development, and holistic growth. The interactions were further enriched by the continued Language Exhibitions and Project Displays, which allowed parents to witness firsthand the learning outcomes, creativity, and critical thinking skills nurtured at SIRS. Together, these engagements offered a comprehensive and reflective view of each child’s educational journey.
Adding a ceremonial dimension to the day, the Founder’s Awards Ceremony was held at the Astaranga Auditorium, unfolding as a dignified celebration of excellence and achievement. The ceremony began with a soul-stirring invocation by the SAI Choir, filling the auditorium with a sense of divinity and patriotism and setting a deeply moving tone.
In his address, the Headmaster presented the Annual Achievement Report, accompanied by an emotionally engaging audio-visual presentation that highlighted the school’s 360-degree learning ecosystem. The presentation showcased academic excellence alongside enriching opportunities such as educational excursions, global immersion programmes, SAIMUN 2025, Oxford and Harvard MUNs, Round Square and AFS global activities, RIDS initiatives, TEDWIND 2025, and the hosting of national and international delegations on campus. The narrative resonated strongly with parents, standing as a powerful testimony to purposeful and future-focused education at SIRS.
The Founder’s Awards were graciously presented by the Chairperson, honouring outstanding student achievements across academics, debating, leadership, and co-curricular domains. The House Awards celebrated collective excellence, with Chakra House emerging as both the Academic House Champion and Overall House Champion. The Cultural House Trophy was jointly awarded to Vajra House and Dhvaja House, acknowledging their exceptional contributions in the cultural sphere.
The programme concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the Deputy Headmaster, following which PTM sessions resumed. The day stood as a harmonious blend of reflection, recognition, and reaffirmation of shared purpose.
As the two-day Founder’s Celebrations drew to a close, they left behind a meaningful affirmation of education with purpose—where strong partnerships, celebration of excellence, and holistic learning converge to shape confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens, ready to lead in a rapidly evolving world.
