It was the dawn of a New Year to start with the 1st Foundation Day Celebrations at SAI International Residential School on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, with Shri P K Mohapatra, Principal Secretary of School and Mass Education as the Chief Guest. Shri Mohapatra congratulated the family of SIRS on the successful first year and wished them good luck for the years to come. Enlightening the students with his words of wisdom he said, that the students are fortunate enough to be a part of the most sought after premiere residential school of Odisha. Being a residential school a 24X7 motherly nurturing is bestowed on the children that make it different from the other schools.
He also stated, to achieve excellence in life there are two vital principles of Shri Shirdi Sai Baba on which the foundation of this school is laid; Shradha or devotion and Saburi or patience are the essentials to attain success with excellence.
“Your parents and teachers are your pillars under whose mentorship you grow to your utmost possibilities, always respect them and never forget your roots from where you belong”, said Shri Mohapatra. He also outlined the importance of Utkal Divas on the occasion.
Addressing the assemblage Chairman SAI International Group Dr. Bijaya K Sahoo, shared a beautiful story on faith which says “It’s great to pray. It’s better to believe that your prayers can come true. But what I want is for you to act in anticipation of the miracle that you are after.” He also shared his words on trust and hope and very beautifully outlined the different between faith and trust to the students. Dr. Sahoo congratulated the SAI family on the successful completion of one year and wished a wonderful future ahead.
The celebrations started right from the special morning assembly by the students of the Sports club. The Symphony Club presented a soulful rendition of the state song, Vande Utkala Janani while depicting the glorious cultural tradition of Odisha and its rich diversity in the background. There was also a synchronized dance performance by the students for the foundation day celebrations in the Astarnga Auditorium.
The auspicious day ended with Chairman’s Dinner with full zest.
