TOY Donation

It is a universal truth that children love toys as it gives them the reason to laugh, have fun and the joy of exploring it through their inquisitive mind. If we probe deeper, toys are not just things to play and have fun with, for a kid, it has more meaning attached to it. Age-appropriate and good toys help to spark the imagination of the children, engage their senses and help them in their sensory and motor development. Toys are also critical to their emotional and intellectual growth as well. Toys are extremely significant for the holistic development of a child. Kids learn about the joy of sharing when they share their toys with friends or by play together with a single toy.

However, lack of toys and too many toys are equally bad for the children. While too many toys pose as a great distractor, lack of toys deprives them of the learning experiences and the fun elements during their growing up days. Realizing the importance of toys in a child’s life, it becomes essential for children who have many toys to share them with children who have never played with a toy. Not every child is as fortunate as you and happiness increases when it is shared.

  • Donate it to an orphanage or Child centre
  • Gift it to your maid’s child
  • Join hands with friends, make a collection and distribute those in a slum area
  • Donate it to some social organizations working for under privileged children

The UN convention on the Rights of a Child in its Article 31 states that “That every child has the right to rest and leisure, to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to the age of the child and to participate freely in cultural life and the arts.” This is an opportunity to render our contribution however small it may be, to fill some deprived children with happiness.

Try to spread happiness and bring a smile in as many faces as possible by donating toys.
